Some time ago, I ordered a rugby ball online — advertised as an authentic, vintage leather ball. I was deeply disappointed when it arrived: it was misshapen, and when I tried to brand my logo onto it, a plastic smell filled the air. The truth became clear — the ball was made of synthetic leather, not genuine leather as promised.

I would create my own rugby ball — made from real *bovine full grain leather*, hand-cut, hand-stitched with beeswax-treated thread, and my own Afrikaner Vellies logo deeply branded in, just as it should be.
